| Maurice BLOND (Maurice BLUMENKRANTZ, dit) LODZ (POLOGNE) 1899 - CLAMART (FRANCE) 1974. Born in Lodz, Poland he studied at the musée de Kiev and afterwards he went to Germany where he became friends with Mintchine and Térechkovitch (from Moscow). He rejoined them in Paris in 1924 and became friends with Pougny, Larionov, Gontcharova and Krémègne. George WALDEMAR wrote of this artist: "He is a source of visual enrichment and an open window on the world of dreams" |
